After eight years in mixed and small animal general practice, Mark gained the RCVS certificate in small animal orthopaedics in 1995 joining the University of Bristol Surgery Department as Lecturer in Small Animal Orthopaedics later that year. Mark established his referral service in 1996 moving to the current location in 1999.
Mark has an active interest in fracture repair and was elected to ‘AO’ in 2004 and is now an active ambassador for AOVet. In 2014 Mark joined the AOVet UK National Faculty team, helping to train the next generation of small animal orthopaedic surgeons.
Mark’s other orthopaedic interests include arthroscopic surgery for joint disease and the ongoing development of the TTA procedure for management of Cranial Cruciate Ligament injury. Mark has a close association with Kyon and is an active contributor to the ‘Kyon family’ lecturing at the TTA Masterclass in Zurich in 2011.
Outside of work, Mark is a keen supporter of Bath Rugby (occasionally disappointed but Never In Doubt!).
Rebecca graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Administration. Since then she has worked in small animal first opinion and referral practice in the South West, joining Ossicle Ltd in 2016.
Rebecca enjoys all aspects of nursing, with particular interests in anaesthesia and feline nursing. She is committed to providing a high standard of patient care and finds the nursing of orthopaedic trauma patients especially rewarding.
Outside of work Rebecca enjoys music, drawing and keeping active by running, cycling and skiing.
